Designed Learning supports effective, research-based strategies for improving reading comprehension. Materials developed as part of a doctoral research program, focus on Question-Answering, and are available for schools to purchase as a site licence, with a one-off fee. These materials are for regular classroom teachers in Grades 2 to 6-7, labelled as Level B (second letter of the alphabet, so Year 2) through to Level F. Vocabulary Materials and interactive materials for Inferential Comprehension are being developed and researched in schools. School consultancy services support the implementation of materials, and also EXTRA Skills Materials, adjusted for students with special education needs. Secondary Support and English teachers have found these materials useful in Years 7 to 9.
